A Message from

 Our Founder

Hannah Schlacter

Lean In was founded in the fall of 2014 by a core executive board of six young women, including myself. After I returned from a Lean In global leadership summit in Palo Alto, CA, I was inspired to bring the Lean In movement and magic to the UIUC campus.

Spanning cross-campus, the organization was created to empower women and men to pursue their ambitions and achieve their goals in both personal and professional development.

Although I've graduated now and have moved on from Lean In UIUC, it is my greatest hope that you'd join the current Lean In UIUC family on campus. May you learn the skills and gain the confidence to Lean In and accomplish your dreams.
